The goal of First Baptist Church is to do our best to reach the community and surrounding areas for Christ. We have been working fervently to do our part in spreading the gospel to this community. A few years ago God laid on the heart of our pastor the need to build a new church building. Pastor Wicks had already been praying about the land out on highway 75 for many years. Through an amazing sequence of events First Baptist Church was able to purchase that land.

Construction started for the new church building August of 2008. The people of the church have come together financially and physically to make this possible. The men of the church have put much effort into the building thus far. We are currently working on the interior of the building.

We are praying to be in our new church building by spring of 2010. The purpose of this building is to be a tool and a testimony for God to use. It is our desire that you would join us as we approach some of the most exciting times in First Baptist Church history. We are “Building a Place for You“, and in the mean time we will reserve a place for you this Sunday.
