Learning to Follow Part 2

In this message from Exodus 13–15, Pastor continues the Learning to Follow series by tracing the Israelites' journey from Egypt to the Red Sea — and what their winding, wilderness path reveals about how God leads his people today. The first key lesson is that God's route is seldom the shortest path to the destination, because the longer road often builds the character, faith, and maturity that a direct route would bypass. The second is that nighttime is always part of the journey — difficult seasons are not a sign that God has abandoned us, but an invitation to keep following even when we can't see clearly ahead. Pastor also cautions against mistaking busyness for obedience, and delays for failure, reminding us that standing still is sometimes exactly where God wants us. The message closes with a call to intentional gratitude — pausing to praise God for the victories he brings us through, just as Moses and the children of Israel broke into song on the far side of the Red Sea.
